The Albergo Hotel was initially a 3 storeys residential building from 1930.
The building is registered on the list of protected heritage being located in the heart of a heritage district of Beirut characterized by its mansions and the first neoclassical buildings dating from the French mandate.

To transform this residential building into a charming hotel part of "Relais et Châteaux" 3 additional floors were required.
The intervention was made in harmony with the classical language and its proportions.
The neoclassical central bay was reinterpreted with a double height opening framed by two columns.
The two top floors under an inclined zinc roof house suites and a restaurant.
This renovated project generated a craze for heritage followed by a series of rehabilitations in the street and the district.
